When I unchecked “auto proxy discovery” it is now working okay. (So far anyway.)

I am experiencing a crash each time I try to upload to my wordpress blog. Hopefully this can be corrected soon.

Have you tried surrounding your HTTP accesses with C++ try…catch(…) blocks? That fixed my app — [ASIHTTPRequest startSynchronous] sometimes crashes the app with an uncaught C++ exception.

I have this issue, and could verify that it relates to the my company proxy, but I do not have any of the proxy discovery settings set, nor did I make use of VPN at the time…

A good way to test this, seems to be http://websocketstest.com Just enabling “Auto Proxy Discovery” and then browsing to that site makes my Safari 6 close right away.

I’m experiencing those network-related crashes, but I never enabled auto-discovery of proxies.

In my case, it looks related to an active OpenVPN connection (which is very unlucky, since it’s my employer’s!).
