      <description><![CDATA[A few online crosswords are perversely published as pdf documents, so you have to print them and waste paper and pencil.  I realize that general-purpose display of pdfs is a complicated business, but I have this suspicion that the crosswords published this way have a very predictable format.  If so, their interesting elements could be extracted and converted to a .puz file without great effort.  With this feature in Black Ink, you could support subscriptions to the <a rel="nofollow" target="_blank" href="http://www.fleetingimage.com/wij/xyzzy/07-jo.html">Jonesin'</a> and <a rel="nofollow" target="_blank" href="http://www.fleetingimage.com/wij/xyzzy/07-new.html">Newsday</a> puzzles.]]></description>

      <description><![CDATA[I have tried File&gt;open web page puzzle IAW the instructions The same old puzzles stored on my HD show up. For example, the NY Times puzzle dtd 7-9-12 comes up every time I do this. I thought maybe it was because I had not solved the 7-9-12 puzzle 100%. So I solved it 100% by having it filled in. Still no-go, after redo of file&gt; open web page puzzle several times.<br /><br />HELP. I am trying to get a fresh, new unsolved puzzle. Have not been able to do this since 9 July.]]></description>

      <description><![CDATA[Hi - a quick question. Is there any way to toggle "Check word" off - for a particular word - after using it? I sometimes use to it check a word, but if I got it wrong, I don't want to check that word forever. Knowing it's wrong is enough - I want to be able to toggle the checking back off, not having each letter verified or nixed forever in that puzzle.<br /><br />Am I missing something, or is there a way to do this? ]]></description>

      <description><![CDATA[Is there any way to avoid automatically rechecking letters in squares that have already been checked? If I check letters and replace incorrect ones, Black Ink automatically checks those incorrect squares as I type. It would be better not to know if what I re-type is correct, making it more like solving a puzzle on paper. Otherwise, it makes it too easy (and tempting) to just try every letter in the alphabet until one sticks.]]></description>

      <description><![CDATA[I updated to 1.5 today and immediately disliked the little tooltips telling me what each square says when I can plainly see what each square says. They're probably useful for overloaded squares, but obnoxious for one- or two-letter squares. <br /><br />Can you please add a preference to show these only for squares with more than n letters?]]></description>

      <description><![CDATA[Hi,<br /><br />I have a small feature request: recently, I've done a few puzzles that have had notes that can be viewed in View -&gt; Show Puzzle Notes.  However, I don't generally think to look there first, and sometimes I've completely missed the notes.  Often the puzzle has a gimmick that makes no sense without the notes.<br /><br />I think it would be great if the puzzles notes were popped up automatically when the puzzle is first loaded (if present), at least as a preference you can set, or even if there was some visual cue that there are notes available for the puzzle.       <description><![CDATA[I think we've touched this topic before.  I got a Magic Mouse yesterday because my Mighty Mouse has long been gummed up, and rediscovered that side-scrolling doesn't work.  Vertical scrolling on the mouse is mapped to the current puzzle direction, whether across or down.  What's more, Magic Mouse scrolling seems only to work down/right in Black Ink, not up/left.  I don't think that was the case with the Mighty Mouse.<br /><br />Black Ink 1.1.7.  Mac OS 10.6.1.]]></description>

      <description><![CDATA[I like to print out the puzzles and then work them later.<br />Several, e.g. the large Sunday puzzles print out over two pages which makes it<br />difficult shuffling pages around. Any way to print it in a smaller font, to where the<br />puzzle and clues are all on one page? My printer (Epson PS R200) on Snow Leopard<br />doesn't have the option to "fit on page".       <description><![CDATA[All the numeric answers in today's New York Sun puzzle get marked wrong, yet revealing the answers shows them to be right.<br /><br />Bonus bug: If the text cursor is in the clue area, then the check and reveal sub-menus are completely disabled.  There's no current letter or word, but you should still be able to check or reveal the whole puzzle.]]></description>
