*Apologies if this has been asked before, I couldn't find any references with a few searches
Recently, I've been getting the following error dialogue when invoking the Add Image command: =========== The operation could not be completed. No other information is available about the problem. ===========
In fact, I get *nine* of these dialogues. Image available here: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/6687015/marsedit-error.png They appear if I try to add an image from either the menu or keyboard shortcut. The error only appears the first time I invoke the command. Subsequent invocations all works as before. When I quit MarsEdit and restart, the issue happens again on first invocation.
I'm on Marsedit v3.5.1 (5096) - just updated, but it was happening at least in the previous version (and maybe a little before, I can't remember sorry). Mac OSX 10.6.8 on MacBook Air.
Sorry about this, the screenshot clearly shows it's an atrocious behavior! I am guessing from the screenshot that this is related to something funky going on the MarsEdit Media Manager. Probably it's trying to evaluate some folders on your Mac and having trouble reading them, or something. Clearly it shouldn't be giving such terrible errors.
I can see the popup above your image icons is blank, indicating that MarsEdit has been unable to read ANY of your usual folders and media sources. Is it possible something has gone wrong with the permissions of files on your Mac, in particular in your home folder?
Can you think of anything that has changed recently on your Mac that could be related to this?
I have more information about this bug now. I'm fixing it for MarsEdit 3.5.3 which is an urgent fix for another bug, where I decided to sneak this fix in as well. You can try a beta test release by downloading it here:
