Paste Link not inserting href content?
  • I'm using 3.6.3 on Mavericks. When I use the "Paste Link" command (either from the menu or the Cmd-Shift-A shortcut), MarsEdit inserts a new link, but doesn't copy the clipboard contents into the href="" field. For example, assuming I've copied the link 'http://www.google.com' to the clipboard, I see:

    <a href="">Google</a>

    When I expect to produce:

    <a href="http://www.google.com">Google</a>;

    [Can't get the closing bracket right here, but that's not the problem!]

    This worked in the past. Am I doing something silly?

    Hi there - it seems to be working for me. I wonder if there is something subtle about the source of the URL that is making it appear funny on the pasteboard to MarsEdit? If you try to literally just copy the text link here: http://www.google.com/ and "Paste Link" with that, does it behave any better?
  • Hmm ... seems to be working as expected now on every link I try. Must have been a ghost in the machine. Thanks!
  • Glad to hear it's working now! Let me know if it pops up again.
