Setting Up Warnings For Empty Fields

MarsEdit can warn you when you try to send a weblog post to the server before it's complete. This prevents the embarrassment of publishing a post with a missing title, categories, etc.

Warnings are set separately for each of your weblogs.

  1. Select the weblog you want to configure in the Weblogs list.
  2. Click the gear button below the list, and choose Edit Settings from the menu.
  3. Click the Posting tab.
  4. Check the options that you’d like to be warned about.

Note: Some warnings options appear disabled. Those options aren’t supported by the weblog you’re configuring, so they won't appear in the weblog post editor.
