MarsEdit communicates with your weblog server using the text-based XML-RPC or Atom Publishing Protocol.
To view the raw contents of this communication, choose Network Log from the Window menu.
You can clear the log by clicking the Clear button, or save the contents to a file by clicking the Save to File button.
The text does not include your password, but does include the URL of your weblog and the contents of your posts. The contents start fresh every time you launch MarsEdit.
Why view the traffic?
For advanced users, examining the contents of this log may help in debugging server problems.
When you write to Red Sweater for support, it can be helpful to include a copy of the network log contents. To do this, save the text to a file (by clicking Save to File) and include the file as an email attachment.
