Attaching Images And Files

MarsEdit supports uploading images and files directly to most blog systems. You can also use the integrated Flickr browser to choose images from your Flickr collection for inclusion in blog posts.

Attaching an image or file to your post...

  1. Click the Media button in the main window or post editor window's toolbar.
  2. Click the On My Mac tab.
  3. Select an item from one of your media libraries. If you keep files in a custom folder, you can drag it in to the media browser for easy reference.
  4. Select your blog from the Upload to: popup menu.
  5. Make adjustments to the size, name, and other information if desired.
  6. Click the Insert or New Post button.

The attachment will be uploaded when you publish your post.

Inserting a previously-uploaded image or file

MarsEdit keeps a catalog of all the images and files you have uploaded with it, so you can easily re-insert them in future blog posts.

  1. Click the Media button in the main window or post editor window's toolbar.
  2. Click the Published tab.
  3. Select the image or file that you want to insert.
  4. Click the Insert or New Post button to embed the image in your post.

Inserting an image from your Flickr account

MarsEdit makes it easy to browse and insert images from your Flickr collection.

  1. Click the Media button in the main window or post editor window's toolbar.
  2. Click the Flickr tab.
  3. The first time you use the Flickr tab, you'll be asked to confirm on Flickr.com that you want MarsEdit to have access to your photos.
  4. When confirmation is completed, a list of your most recent photos appears. Select a photo from the list.
  5. Click the Insert or New Post button to embed the image in your post.
