Interviewed By Austin Heller

November 3rd, 2007

Austin Heller recently interviewed me and has just published the results.

An Interview with Daniel Jalkut

I like the interview format because it takes all the work out of blabbing my mouth off! It’s sort of like blogging, only I get to talk about several things at once, and don’t have to think of the topics myself.

Reading back over it, the topics range from my first Mac to how I feel about iPhone development. Austin did a great job of posing the questions and I did an acceptable job of answering them. Check it out!

Nice interview Daniel! I especially liked your response to the final question. I think people lose sight of simple truths like that. I also think your position on Black Ink and MarsEdit for the iPhone is a sensible one. I imagine we’ll see many ports of apps to the iPhone that don’t actually make much sense. Its a new platform and it requires thought and understand to come up an app that will really fit the device. It will be interesting to see what February brings (and Macworld as well – iPhone 2.0?).

Do you still have the red sweater? Any chance we can see a photo of it? :-)

  3. Daniel Jalkut Says:

Heh – the sweater was so threadbare even when I named the company, it’s long since gone :) The sad thing is I don’t even own a red sweater anymore :)

  4. Abby (Applecow) Says:

Hi Daniel, just saw the comment you left on my blog. Thanks so much for MarsEdit. Is there a function to write and edit pages (like on wordpress)? That would be super great!

  5. Daniel Jalkut Says:

Hi Abby – the ability to edit pages doesn’t exist yet but it’s something I’m planning.
