RAW images

    Am I correct in assuming that Mars Edit can't render RAW images for posting from Lightroom? All it seems to see is a thumbnail. If this is the case, is there a plug-in for Mars Edit to enable it to read and post RAW files?

    Hi Cams - you are right that MarsEdit doesn't deal with RAW images directly. It relies upon the JPEG data that Lightroom generates itself. I am assuming you don't want to post the RAW file literally (because it would not be viewable outside of a photo-processing app like Aperture or Lightroom), but are just looking to post a larger version? Unfortunately I think the only way to achieve this for now would be to ask Lightroom in its preferences to default to a larger size for its JPEG previews.

    Thanks for the response Daniel. What you say makes perfect sense, so I'm now rendering my LR previews at 1:1 and hopefully that should give me the image size that I'm looking for.
